چکیده
Background: This study aimed to assess the fetomaternal outcome of preterm prelabour rupture membranes (PPROM) and identify risk factors associated with this condition. Methods: The was conducted in Obstetrics Gynecology department Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College Hospital, Barpeta, Assam, used a hospital-based prospective observational design. duration 12 months from September 2021 August 2022, sample size 80. Results: found that majority respondents were between ages 20-25, Hindu, unemployed. occurrence PPROM most frequent women 35-36 weeks gestation, 41 patients (51.25%) affected. Approximately 57.50% participants presented medical facility within 6 hours experiencing vaginal discharge. Conclusions: Although is common pregnancy complication, its consequences can be avoided by using antibiotics, corticosteroids, other medications. mothers had no factors. study's findings may help healthcare providers better understand develop interventions improve maternal fetal outcomes.

BACKGROUND Premature rupture of membrane (PROM) is linked to significant maternal prenatal mortalities and morbidity. In Ethiopia, where maternal mortality is still high, the maternal and fetal outcomes in PROM is very important to decrease maternal and child mortality and for better management and prevention of complications. Thus, this study aimed to detect the maternal and fetal outcomes and...
متن کاملAssessment of Maternal Risk Factors Associated with Mortality in Preterm Infants
Background & Aims: Detection of maternal risk factors associated with neonatal mortality helps to identify high-risk infants and prevent neonatal death. It can also contribute to the design more effective prenatal care. This study was performed aiming to evaluate the maternal risk factors associated with mortality in preterm infants in Mashhad Ghaem Hospital, Iran, during 2009-2014. Methods: Th...
متن کاملExtreme preterm premature rupture of membranes: risk factors and feto maternal outcomes.
OBJECTIVES Preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM) is defined as a rupture of the amniotic membranes occurring before 37 weeks of gestation and before the onset of labor. Extreme PPROM occurs prior to 26 weeks gestation and contributes to an increased risk of prematurity, leading to maternal and fetal complications. This study aims to estimate the risk factors associated with various mat...
